Dr. Shady Awwad is an ophthalmologist & a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon with the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award.

Dr. Ahmad Dhaini

Computer Scientist

Dr. Ahmad R. Dhaini currently leads Digital Transformation and Strategy at KPMG Saudi Levant. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He is passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship and technology.

Dr. Shady Elbassuoni

Computer Scientist

Dr. Shady Elbassuoni is an assistant professor at the Computer Science Department. He received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Alexandria University, Egypt and his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from Max-Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII) and Saarland University in Germany. Before joining AUB, Shady was a postdoctoral researcher at Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI). 

Jad F. Assaf

Jad is currently a medical student at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. His interest and research is focused on biomedical analytics, namely corneal imaging and corneal tomography.‎

Andre Ghosn

Andre is currently a software Engineer at Amazon. He possesses previous experience in Computer Vision and Virtual Reality at BMW Group & System Design and Project Management as a Freelancer. He is a graduate in Computer Engineering from the Lebanese American University.‎

Chadi Helwe

Chadi Helwe is a research assistant at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He received his B.Sc degree from Notre Dame University in Lebanon and his M.Sc degree from the American University of Beirut.
